What is Exercise Therapy

Exercise Therapy consists of carefully designed exercise programs that have a favorable impact on the outcome of most conditions. After an assessment by a trained Medical Professional, realistic goal is set by the Medical Professional. An Exercise Therapy Specialist works with the client to meet the goal. The goal might be to bring an athlete back to peak performance after an injury, or continue building strength post-physical therapy, or manage a specific condition like Parkinson's Disease, or prevent disease like Type II Diabetes. Exercise therapy prevents further dysfunction. It facilitates, restores, improves and maintains function.
